SK Cabling Systems recently installed a very large and complex Belden Structured Cabling installation for FXDD in the World Trade Center.
FXDD- Foreign Exchange Direct Dealer- is a world class currency trading business that allows subscribers to trade foreign exchange currencies via the internet on their proprietary trading platforms. FXDD customers are located through out the world and the company is doubling in size every 4 years.
As a result, FXDD is a very large user of Data and Data Services. Their new offices at # 7 WTC were cabled with Category 6A Belden Cable. A large server room was constructed, fitted out with cabinets, back up generators, ups systems, HVAC and a significant amount of Category 6A and Fiber Optic cabling.
Additionally, over 250 trading positions were cabled back to an IDF on the floor where redundant Cisco Core Switches carry voice and data traffic to the Network and Internet. Conference facilities and administrative offices were also cabled using Belden Category 6A Cabling.
